We’re proven experts in designing, building and launching nano-satellites and we want to use this technology to tackle some of the world’s largest problems. we’re on a mission to improve efficiency around the world through smart cities, agriculture and natural resources.
FOR THE FIRST TIME A SMART BUOY WITH OIL SENSOR IS DELIVERING DATA VIA SATELLITE IN OPEN SEA CONDITIONS IN THE BALTIC SEA
A smart navigation buoy system has started in October to deliver real-time measurement data via satellite of oil and some other water quality parameters in the Baltic Sea water. It is located in south of Helsinki in the Gulf of Finland. The monitoring data gives later great advantages to oil spill response actions of authorities and it eases revealing illegal oil discharges. The system is part of the SYKE’s Grace project cooperation and it is made by Meritaito Ltd. The data is freely available in Internet.
The test data of the smart navigation buoy system is freely available in www.luodedata.fi
